Frits Landesbergen is a drummer and vibrafonist with an international standing. Born in Voorschoten in 1961, grown up in Hoorn. Graduated with honeurs in 1985 at the Sweelinck Academy of Music in Amsterdam. Won various prestigious prizes such as Wessel Ilckenprijs, Pall Mall Swing Award, AVRO broadcasting company "The Promise" and the attention
of the media served him well. Since then he has a full agenda, principally within The Netherlands. As a freelancer he performed with: Georgie Fame, Milt Jackson. Toots Thielemans. Eddie Daniels, Louis van Dijk, Thijs van Leer, Scott Hamilton, Joe Pass, Buddy de Franco, Monty Alexander. Frits Landesbergen is all-round. Not only is he the best Dutch jazz-vibes player, he also is an excellent drummer and arranger. He teaches vibes, Together with Jeroen de Rijk he established BAILEO MUSIC PRODUCTIONS in 1998. Baileo is a music production business who make Music In 1995 he became 'endorser' of the legendary percussionname Ludwig/Musser in Europe. Frits Landesbergen performed at about 90 CD's as a 'sideman' with Madeline Bell, Ann Burton, Louis van Dijk, Laura Fygi, Rosenberg trio, Thijs van Leer, Metropole Orchestra, London Symhony Orchestra. Baileo also moves around in the world of DVD. Together with JUMBO supermarkets they released 'Jumbo Swingnights', with the Baileo Big Band. In 2005 Frits went on tour several times in The Netherlands. In 2006 Frits appears in the theaters with Louis van Dijk's Mozart tournee.
